Join us on a discovery trip through the beauties of our region and explore with us the large number of attractions worth visiting. Several viewpoints, located around Bad Schlema, offer our visitors a gorgeous vista of the open landscape. Look from the Schafberg way beyond the upper Erzgebirge; stand on the viewing platform Biedenkopfblick and take in the view that stretches from our spa park to the neighbouring mountain town Schneeberg.
Parks and grounds
When looking for a quiet, beautiful spot set in the open and to indulge in sweet idleness, stroll through our recreation park that surrounds our spa facilities. You might also find the Richard-Friedrich-Park or the herbary delightful.
Public footpaths and bicycle trails
You are devoted to hiking and cycling? Even to the rather untrained sportsmen among us, there are a large number of bicycle trails, public footpaths and specially designed paths for mild cardiovascular training, called Terrainkurwege, to choose from.
Sport and leisure activities
Sporting activities will keep you fit and boost your happiness. So it has been shown in several studies that life expectancy can be clearly increased in those who participate in sports. You are not into heavy workouts? Then just opt for one of the gentle sports we offer to our guests.
Excursion destinations
Use Bad Schlema as your starting point for longer hikes beyond. Why not start a hiking tour to our neighbouring towns Bockau, Hartenstein and Aue? Or explore the Filzteich, an artificial lake in the vicinity of the Bergstadt Schneeberg.
